Search “best spa in Nusa Dua” and you’ll get a long list of places that all say they’re the best. We run a spa here, so we’re obviously biased, and we’re not going to tell you which one to pick. What we can do is share what we’d check ourselves before booking a massage somewhere we didn’t know. There are eight things, mostly boring, all useful.

1. Is the price nett?

Ask whether the price on the menu is the price you actually pay. Some places add tax and service charge on top, and that can change the total quite a bit once you get to the till. Ours are nett, so tax and service are already included. You’ll find the current prices on our massage page, and we’ve gone through them in our Nusa Dua massage price guide.

2. Is the room private?

You want a proper treatment room with a door, not a curtain in a shared space. Look at real photos of the rooms rather than stock images, and if there are two of you, ask whether they have a couple’s room. We do, and you can choose different treatments for each of you.

3. Can you say how firm you like it?

A good therapist asks at the start and checks again halfway through. Light, medium or firm, you shouldn’t have to put up with a massage that’s too hard just because it feels awkward to speak up. Tell us at the beginning and tell us any time after that. We’d much rather you did.

4. What do recent reviews say?

Don’t stop at the star rating. Read the most recent ones, read a few of the three-star ones (they tend to be the most honest), and see how the owner replies. We’re rated 4.9★ from 1,600+ Google reviews, and you can read what guests say on our TripAdvisor page too.

5. How will you get there?

Nusa Dua is more spread out than it looks on the map, and a taxi each way adds up. Our shuttle is free. If two of you book an hour or longer each, the round trip is on us. On your own, we’ll still pick you up for free on a one-hour booking, or cover both ways for two hours or more. One small heads-up: the car can take 10 to 15 minutes to loop back after your treatment, so leave a little room if you’ve got somewhere to be afterwards. The details are on our free hotel shuttle page.

6. How easy is it to book?

Ideally you can just message and get a straight answer. With us that’s WhatsApp on +62 878 6427 2239, and we’re open every day from 9am to 9pm. Same-day often works, but a day ahead is the safer bet if there’s more than one of you or you’d like a longer slot, especially in high season.

7. Is the menu clear?

Clear names, clear durations, clear prices. A decent spa should be upfront about what it is, too. Ours are strictly professional and therapeutic massages. We don’t offer sexual services of any kind.

8. Does it suit the people you’re with?

If you’re travelling as a pair, our honeymoon and couples guide and spa packages cover the couple options. If you’ve got children with you, there’s a Kids Massage for ages 5 to 12, at IDR 200,000 for 60 minutes (as of October 2026). And one thing worth knowing before you book: right now all of our therapists are women.

5. How do you get there?Free shuttle from your hotel (conditions above).
6. How easy is booking?WhatsApp, open every day 9am to 9pm.

What to expect on the day

Wear normal clothes. For the treatment we’ll give you disposable underwear to change into, so there’s nothing special to pack. Bring cash or a card: we take cash in rupiah, QRIS, Visa and Mastercard. Tipping is entirely up to you. We think of it as a thank-you for good work, so give what feels right, or nothing at all.

Hotel spa or an independent one?

It depends what you’re after. If luxury is the whole point, the setting, the pool, the robe, then a resort spa is the right pick, and it can cost five or six times what we charge. If you want a really good massage at a fair price, an independent spa like ours is worth the short ride. Plenty of guests do both over a longer trip.

A few things people usually ask

Is a hotel spa better than an independent spa?
Not better or worse, just different. A hotel spa gives you the whole resort experience around the massage, and you pay for that. An independent spa puts the money into the treatment itself. It’s more about what kind of afternoon you want.

Do I need to book ahead?
Same-day often works over WhatsApp, and we’ll do what we can to fit you in. A day ahead is safer in high season or for a group.

What should I wear?
Just normal clothes. We give you disposable underwear to wear during the treatment, so you don’t need to bring anything.

Are the therapists men or women?
Right now they’re all women. If you’d prefer a male therapist, we’d rather tell you now than surprise you on the day.

Is tipping expected?
No. It’s entirely up to you. We see a tip as a thank-you for good work, nothing more.

How much is a massage?
A one-hour foot massage is IDR 200,000 and a one-hour Balinese is IDR 230,000, both nett (as of October 2026). The full list is in our price guide.

Ready to book? Have a look at our full massage menu first, or message us on WhatsApp (+62 878 6427 2239), tell us your hotel and how long you’d like, and we’ll sort out the shuttle in the same chat.
