If you’re staying a bit further back from the beach road — around the inner part of the ITDC estate, near Novotel, Mercure, Courtyard, Amarterra or one of a few others — you’re actually closer to us than most of the beachfront crowd. Close enough, in a few cases, that you’re within walking distance and don’t need the shuttle at all if you don’t want it.
We’ve covered the beach-road hotels and the bigger international resorts further into the enclave in earlier guides. This one’s for the cluster right around us — closer, in general, and a genuinely mixed bunch: a state-run convention hotel, a couple of quiet all-villa boutiques, a few familiar international mid-scale brands, and one or two chains most Indonesian travellers will already know.
Here’s where you stand if you’re at one of these:
| Your hotel | Distance | On foot | By car (shuttle) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bali Nusa Dua Hotel | 0.56 km | ~7 min | ~3 min |
| Kayumanis Nusa Dua Private Villa & Spa | 0.61 km | ~8 min | ~3 min |
| Grand Whiz Hotel Nusa Dua | 0.78 km | ~10 min | ~5 min |
| Hotel Santika Siligita Nusa Dua | 0.79 km | ~15 min | ~5 min |
| Amarterra Villas Resort Bali Nusa Dua, Autograph Collection | 0.92 km | ~15 min | ~5 min |
| Courtyard by Marriott Bali Nusa Dua Resort | 1.00 km | ~15 min | ~5 min |
| Mercure Bali Nusa Dua | 1.01 km | ~15 min | ~5 min |
| Merusaka Nusa Dua | 1.10 km | ~15 min | ~5 min |
| Novotel Bali Nusa Dua Hotel & Residences | 1.12 km | ~15 min | ~5 min |

Staying at Bali Nusa Dua Hotel?
You’re the closest on this whole list — barely half a kilometre, about 3 minutes by car. This one’s run under the Aerowisata group and tends to host a fair number of conference and group bookings alongside regular guests, so if you’re here for a work trip rather than a holiday, a spa afternoon in between sessions is a pretty easy add.
Staying at Kayumanis Nusa Dua Private Villa & Spa?
A little further, still under 10 minutes on foot, about 3 minutes by car. Kayumanis is the kind of place people book specifically because it’s small and quiet — every villa has its own pool, and it’s not really built for guests who want a big resort with five restaurants and a kids’ club. If that’s why you picked it, you’re probably also the type who’d rather book a private treatment room somewhere low-key than fight for a spot at a busy hotel spa.
Staying at Grand Whiz Hotel Nusa Dua?
About 10 minutes on foot, 5 by car. Part of the Whiz Hotels group — a no-frills, budget-friendly chain, which usually means guests here are watching the holiday budget a bit more closely. Worth knowing: a treatment here doesn’t have to come with a resort price tag either.
Staying at Hotel Santika Siligita Nusa Dua?
Santika is an Indonesian chain, so alongside international guests, a good number of people staying here are travelling from elsewhere in Indonesia. It’s about 15 minutes on foot if you fancy the walk, or about 5 minutes by shuttle.
Staying at Amarterra Villas Resort Bali Nusa Dua, Autograph Collection?
Another all-villa property, this time under Marriott’s Autograph Collection — about 15 minutes on foot, 5 by car. Guest reviews of this one consistently mention how quiet and private it feels for somewhere this close to the main strip — which makes it a fairly common pick for honeymooners. If that’s you, we’ve actually written a separate guide on planning a spa afternoon into a Nusa Dua honeymoon, worth a look.
Staying at Courtyard by Marriott Bali Nusa Dua Resort?
A Marriott property without the full resort price — reliable, straightforward, and popular with both business travellers and families who want a known brand without paying for a beachfront address. About 15 minutes on foot, 5 by car.
Staying at Mercure Bali Nusa Dua?
Mercure is Accor’s mid-scale international brand, so if you’ve stayed at one elsewhere, this one will feel familiar — functional, comfortable, nothing over the top. About 15 minutes on foot, 5 by car — good for a short family or business stay where the spa afternoon is more of a highlight than the room itself.
Staying at Merusaka Nusa Dua?
Right on Nusa Dua’s main beach strip. About 15 minutes on foot if you don’t mind a longer walk, otherwise about 5 minutes by shuttle.
Staying at Novotel Bali Nusa Dua Hotel & Residences?
The “& Residences” part means some rooms here come with a small kitchen — handy if you’re staying a while or travelling as a family and don’t want to eat out for every meal. Furthest on this list at 1.12 km — about 15 minutes on foot, still an easy 5-minute shuttle ride either way.
How the shuttle actually works
Same policy as always: two of you booking an hour or longer each, and the round trip is free. On your own, we’ll still come get you for free on a one-hour booking, or cover both ways for two hours or more. Heads up — the car can take 10 to 15 minutes to loop back after your treatment, since we’re usually juggling more than one pickup at a time, so build in a little buffer if you’ve got somewhere to be right after.
Honestly, if you’re at one of the closer hotels on this list, you might not even need it — a few of these are a genuinely easy walk, especially early in the day before it heats up.
Don’t just take our word for it
We’re rated 4.9★ from 1,476 Google reviews, and we’ve picked up TripAdvisor’s Travellers’ Choice award every year since 2022. Most guests from this part of Nusa Dua book a classic massage or one of our spa packages.
A few things people usually ask
If I’m this close, is the shuttle even worth booking?
Up to you, honestly. If it’s cool out and you don’t mind a short walk, plenty of guests from Bali Nusa Dua Hotel or Kayumanis just walk over. But after a two-hour massage, in the middle of the afternoon heat, most people are glad they messaged us for the ride back instead.
Can I just show up without booking?
Same-day usually works, especially over WhatsApp — we’ll do what we can to fit you in. A day ahead is the safer bet if you’re coming as a group or want something longer like a 2-hour package, particularly in high season.
How do I actually book?
WhatsApp is easiest — message +62 878-6427-2239 with your hotel name, how many of you, and roughly what time works. We’ll confirm within a few minutes.
What time are you open?
Every day, 9am to 9pm.
Staying somewhere along the beach road instead — Westin, Grand Hyatt, Sofitel, Club Med, Laguna, Paradisus or Nusa Dua Beach Hotel? Or further into the resort enclave — Kempinski, Ritz-Carlton, Conrad, Mulia and others? We’ve got separate guides for both.
If you’ve already decided, message +62 878 6427 2239 on WhatsApp to check availability — we’ll sort out the shuttle (or not, if you’d rather walk) in the same chat.
